The Lifting

The dark pool at the base is the starting condition — dense, uncertain, full of noise. The tree rises through it anyway, and as it does the medium changes. The gold appears mid-way, where the teal begins to thin. At the top, the branches are fine and the light is open. I was thinking about how a process can begin in a regime where nothing is distinguishable and end in one where structure is clear — not because the noise disappeared, but because it accumulated enough to be seen above it. The two figures at the bottom are a scale reference. They are also witnesses.
